Raegan + Justin | An Evergreen Brickworks Engagement Shoot

R&J_034_1Without question, the best part of our job is meeting new people and getting to know more about them through the lens.  I happened to meet Raegan and Justin at a B&B we shared up in the Muskokas –  I was the photographer at their friend’s wedding and they were guests.  A little over a year later, they contacted us as a newly engaged couple ready for their turn in front of the camera.  What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and Raegan and Justin were game to try anything!  They climbed the steepest hill to reach the golden mid-afternoon sun, and didn’t think twice about lying down and cozying up in a blanket of cold damp leaves.  I think the shots were well worth it!

Thanks for a great fall-inspired shoot.  Hope you got all the burrs out!!!

Patricia Schwarz - Beautiful people, beautiful pictures.
Love and hugs,
Aunt Patty

While visiting my hometown of Fenelon Falls over Thanksgiving weekend, the fall colours were too vibrant to ignore.  We decided to take a drive through the country side and we came across the most vivid patch of Sumac trees I have ever seen.  We quickly pulled off to the side of the road and I was able to capture a few photographs of my sister Cat.  Although she wasn’t expecting to have a photo shoot that day, she looked flawless!  I rarely get to take shots of Cat as she has lived in Vancouver for several years.  Luckily we had a gorgeous fall day and she happened to wear colors that complimented the setting perfectly.  How beautiful is my sister!!!…beautiful enough to put a ring on it!

toronto fashion incubator | press & buyers breakfast 2010

On October 16th Verve Photo Co. photographed Toronto Fashion Incubator’s Press and Buyers Breakfasts 2010 for Faulhaber PR . Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) is an exciting & innovative non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing, promoting and supporting new and emerging fashion entrepreneurs.

This was our third year shooting the event so we knew it would be a good mix of designers, models and media.  The “breakfast” allows for press and buyers to meet Canada’s new crop of talents in the fashion industry and offers exceptional promotional and sales opportunities.  In attendance was Toronto Mayor David Miller who also  delivered a speech to the crowd.

Here are a few highlights of the shoot.

Alice + Andy | A Royal Ambassador Wedding, Caledon ON

We have been looking forward to Alice and Andy’s wedding day ever since we did their engagement shoot earlier in the summer.  They were so much fun to work with and up for anything, which of course we love.   Their wedding day didn’t disappoint.  They lucked out with an amazing fall day, which was perfect for their outdoor ceremony at The Royal Ambassador in Caledon.  Their day was a mixture of Chinese tradition and spontaneous fun and games, which definitely kept us entertained (no more banana’s in our grocery carts!) .  Congratulations Alice and Andy and happy honeymooning in China.
