magda + steve | the oakville club

Magda and Steve picked the hottest week in history to get married.  Wow, was it HOT.  The temperature was something like 45 degrees with the humidity .  We were all melting, yet Magda and Steve were amazing despite the heat.  I think most couples would have trudged through the heat reluctantly for a few minutes before saying “forget the photos!”, scurrying off to find the comfort of air conditioning.  Not Steve and Magda – we wandered around outside for a couple of hours, and in the process, were rewarded with some fantastic shooting locations in downtown Oakville.  We did manage to seek shelter in a chocolate shop and bakery for a few minutes, enjoying the cool air and the sweet treats that were offered by them (thank you Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut and Black Forest Pastry Shop!).  At the end of our walk, we found ourselves on the lakefront, and were blessed by an ever-so-slight breeze, perfect light, and a lovely “field” of lavendar.  Oh so pretty!  Magda + Steve, we loved being part of your day.  Thank you for braving the heat and humidity; we think it was well worth it, and we hope you do too.

tricia + angelo | kleinburg engagement

We met up with Trish and Angelo to photograph their engagement session close to their home in the cute town of Kleinburg.  Trish told us immediately how nervous she was in front of the camera, but Angelo had her (and us) laughing in no time, which made for some cute pictures of the two of them and an entertaining evening.  Through their nerves and laughter, their sense of fun and chemistry came through in the photos. We are looking forward to more memorable moments with these two in October when we shoot their wedding in Caledon.

natasha + chris | toronto maternity photography

This is an exciting time in any ones life, but seems extra special for Natasha considering babies are her forte!  Natasha is one of the founding members of Bebo Mia, Toronto’s foremost leader in fertility, pregnancy and parenting support.  Not only is she the Director of Fertility, but also a Birth Doula, and HypnoBirthing Practitioner.   I met with Natasha and her husband Chris on their rooftop patio where we hoped to capture the evening’s golden light.  Lucky for us the weather cooperated and Natasha had that mother-to-be glow about her.  We joked over her hesitation for the cloth wrap, but once in it, she rocked it!  Chris was a great help fluffing the cloth and helping it to catch the wind while Natasha posed and I snapped away.  It turned out to be a fun evening for the three of us and I look forward to our next shoot once their little bundle arrives.  For more information on Bebo Mia and their services, be sure to check out their website and video.  They are awesome!
