What an incredible day! After a week of wondering what the weather would have in store for us, we lucked out to an amazing fall day. Yes, it was chilly, yes, it was very windy, and yes, it did even rain a bit, but when we drove up to the farm where the photos were being taken, the sun peaked through the clouds, illuminating the corn field, and cast amazing light on the landscape. We were giddy; we knew we were in for a fantastic shoot. It isn’t often that you get just the right light at just the right time, with just the right couple that would pretty much do anything we asked. Kara and Josh were a dream couple to spend the day with. We had so much fun together, and at the end of the shoot, when Kara’s hair had been tossed around by the wind so that her flower was hanging by a single strand of hair, and her dress had been dragged through the mud, she still had a smile on her face (and they hadn’t even made the walk down the aisle yet!). They didn’t get caught up with the weather challenges, they didn’t get caught up in anything outside of each other. They were just so excited to finally be married. And Kara – you didn’t “ugly cry”, you looked beautiful all day long.
