Jackie and James were two of the most positive, friendly, enthusiastic people I have ever met. They were so amazing to work with because they were up for anything – even if it included trespassing into a local farmer’s field and sitting on damp, freshly cut (and somewhat muddy) hay. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a home-spun country reception at Beaver Hollow Resort, which included home baked pies instead of the standard cake – mmmmm. Jackie and James were a warm and inviting couple, and their wedding definitely reflected their personalities. Two things I have never seen before in my many years of shooting weddings: James completely surprised Jackie with a Marble Slab ice cream truck, which came to serve her favourite treat to the guests; and at about midnight, each guest set off a beautiful chinese lantern into the sky, which together seemed to fill the sky and create their own milkyway. Amazing. We were grateful to be a part of such a unique and personal event!
